에제키엘 47:1-9, 12
1 나는 다시 그분에게 이끌리어 성전 정문으로 가 보았다. 그 성전 정면은 동쪽을 향해 나 있었는데, 그 성전 동쪽 문턱에서 물이 나오는 것이 보였다. 그 물은 제단 남쪽으로 해서 성전 오른쪽 벽에서 뻗은 선을 타고 흘러 내려갔다. The man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar.
2 나는 그분에게 이끌리어 북문을 나가 바깥 길로 해서 바깥 동문께로 돌아 가 보았다. 물이 그 대문 오른쪽에서 솟아나는 것이 보였다. He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was flowing from the south side.
3 그분이 측량줄을 가지고 동쪽으로 재면서 가다가 천 척 되는 곳에 이르러 나더러 물을 건너라고 하기에 건너보니 물이 발목에 찼다. As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep.
4 그분이 또 재면서 가다가 천 척 되는 곳에 이르러 나더러 물을 건너라고 하기에 건너보니 물이 무릎에 찼다. 그분이 또 재면서 가다가 천 척 되는 곳에 이르러 나더러 건너라고 하기에 건너보니 물이 허리에 찼다. He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist.
5 그분이 또 재면서 가다가 천 척 되는 곳에 이르러 보니, 건널 수 없는 강이 되어 있었다. 물이 불어서 헤엄이나 치면 건널까, 걸어서는 건너지 못할 강이 되어 있었다.
He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in--a river that no one could cross.
6  "너 사람아, 보지 않았느냐?" 하고 말하며 그분은 나를 강가로 도로 데리고 갔다.
He asked me, "Son of man, do you see this?" Then he led me back to the bank of the river.
7 되돌아 와 보니 강을 끼고 양쪽에 나무가 무성한 것이 보였다.
When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river.
8 그분이 말씀하셨다. "이 물은 동쪽으로 가다가 메마른 벌판으로 흘러 내려 사해로 들어간다. 이 물이 짠 사해로 들어가면 사해의 물마저 단물이 된다.
He said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Sea. When it empties into the Sea, the water there becomes fresh.
9 이 강이 흘러 들어가는 곳이면 어디에서나 온갖 생물들이 번창하며 살 수 있다. 어디로 흘러 들어가든지 모든 물은 단물이 되기 때문에 고기가 득실거리게 된다. 이 강이 흘러 들어가는 곳은 어디에서나 생명이 넘친다. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.
12 이 강가 양쪽 언덕에는 온갖 과일나무가 자라며 잎이 시드는 일이 없다. 그 물이 성소에서 흘러나오기 때문에, 다달이 새 과일이 나와서 열매가 끊어지는 일이 없다. 그 열매는 양식이 되고 그 잎은 약이 된다. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing."
13 주 야훼가 말한다. 이스라엘의 열 두 지파가 서로 유산으로 나누어 가질 땅의 경계는 다음과 같다. 요셉은 그 가운데서 두 몫을 차지한다.
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "These are the boundaries by which you are to divide the land for an inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel, with two portions for Joseph.

시편 46:1-8
1 하나님은 우리의 힘, 우리의 피난처, 어려운 고비마다 항상 구해 주셨으니
For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. According to alamoth. A song. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2 땅이 흔들려도 산들이 깊은 바다로 빠져들어도, 우리는 무서워 아니하리라.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 바닷물이 우짖으며 소용돌이쳐 보아라, 밀려오는 그 힘에 산들이 떨어 보아라, (만군의 주 야훼께서 우리와 함께 계시다. 야곱의 하나님이 우리의 피난처시다.)
though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah
4 강물의 줄기들이 하나님의 도성을 지존의 거룩한 처소를 즐겁게 한다. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 그 한가운데에 하나님이 계시므로 흔들림이 없으리라. 첫새벽에 주께서 도움을 주시리라.
God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6 한 소리 크게 외치시니 땅이 흔들리고 민족들이 뒤설레며, 나라들이 무너진다.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 만군의 주 야훼께서 우리와 함께 계시다. 야곱의 하나님이 우리의 피난처시다.
The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 너희는 와서 보아라. 세상을 놀라게 하시며 야훼께서 이루신 이 높이신 일을!
Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
(9 땅 끝까지 전쟁을 멎게 하시고, 창 꺾고 활 부러뜨리고 방패를 불살라 버리셨다.
He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.
10 "너희는 멈추고 내가 하나님인 줄 알아라. 세상 만민이 나를 높이 받들어 섬기리라" .
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
11 만군의 주 야훼께서 우리와 함께 계시다. 야곱의 하나님이 우리의 피난처시다.
The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah)

요한복음 5:1-3, 5-16
1 얼마 뒤에 유다인의 명절이 되어 예수께서 예루살렘에 올라 가셨다.
Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews.
2 예루살렘 양의 문 곁에는 히브리말로 베짜타라는 못이 있었고 그 둘레에는 행각 다섯이 서 있었다.
Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades.
3 이 행각에는 소경과 절름발이와 중풍병자 등 수많은 병자들이 누워 있었는데 ( 그들은 물이 움직이기를 기다리고 있었다.
Here a great number of disabled people used to lie--the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.
4 이따금 주님의 천사가 그 못에 내려와 물을 휘젓곤 하였는데 물이움직일 때에 맨먼저 못에 들어 가는 사람은 무슨 병이라도 다 나았던 것이다. )
5 그들 중에는 삼십 팔 년이나 앓고 있는 병자도 있었다.
One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.
6 예수께서 그 사람이 거기 누워 있는 것을 보시고 또 아주 오래된 병자라는 것을 아시고는 그에게 "낫기를 원하느냐?" 하고 물으셨다.
When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"
7 병자는 "선생님, 그렇지만 저에겐 물이 움직여도 물에 넣어 줄 사람이 없습니다. 그래서 저 혼자 가는 동안에 딴 사람이 먼저 못에 들어 갑니다." 하고 대답하였다.
"Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."
8 예수께서 "일어나 요를 걷어들고 걸어가거라" 하시자
Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk."
9 그 사람은 어느새 병이 나아서 요를 걷어 들고 걸어 갔다. 그 날은 마침 안식일이었다.
At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,
10 그래서 유다인들은 병이 나은 그 사람에게 "오늘은 안식일 이니까요를 들고 가서는 안 된다" 하고 나무랐다.
and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat."
11 "나를 고쳐 주신 분이 나더러 요를 걷어들고 걸어가라고 하셨습니다." 그가 이렇게 대꾸하자
But he replied, "The man who made me well said to me, 'Pick up your mat and walk.'"
12 그들은 "나더러 요를 걷어들고 걸어가라고 한 사람이 도대체 누구냐?" 하고 물었다.
So they asked him, "Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?"
13 그러나 병이 나은 그 사람은 자기를 고쳐준 사람이 누군지 알 수 없었다. 예수께서는 이미 자리를 뜨셨고 그 곳에는 많은 사람이 붐볐기 때문이다.
he man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.
14 얼마 뒤에 예수께서 성전에서 그 사람을 만나 "자, 지금은 네 병이 말끔히 나았다. 다시는 죄를 짓지 말아라. 그렇지 않으면 더욱 흉한 일이 너에게 생길지도 모른다" 하고 일러 주셨다.
Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."
15 그 사람은 유다인들에게 가서 자기 병을 고쳐 주신 분이 예수라고 말하였다.
The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
16 이 때부터 유다인들은 예수께서 안식일에 이런 일을 하신다 하여 예수를 박해하기 시작하였다.
So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him.
