2005년 2월 19일 성서말씀

신명기 26:16-19
16 오늘 너희 하나님 야훼께서는 이 규정과 법규를 지키라고 너희에게 분부하신다. 그러니 너희는 마음을 다 기울이고 목숨을 다 바쳐 이모든 것을 성심껏 실천해야 한다.
The LORD your God commands you this day to follow these decrees and laws; carefully observe them with all your heart and with all your soul.
17 너희는 오늘 야훼께서 하시는 말씀을 들었다. 야훼께서는 너희에게 하나님이 되어 주시겠다고 하셨다. 그 대신 너희는 분부 받은 그 길을 따라 하나님의 규정과 계명과 법규를 지켜 그의 말씀에 복종해야 한다고 하셨다. You have declared this day that the LORD is your God and that you will walk in his ways, that you will keep his decrees, commands and laws, and that you will obey him.
18 이에 응답하여 너희는 오늘 야훼께, 말씀대로 하나님께서 소중하게 여기시는 백성이 되어 모든 분부를 지키겠다고 아뢰었다.
And the LORD has declared this day that you are his people, his treasured possession as he promised, and that you are to keep all his commands.
19 손수 지으신 만백성 위에 높여 주시니 찬양과 명성과 영광을 돌리는 백성, 약속대로 너희 하나님 야훼께 성별된 백성이 되겠다고 하였다."
He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he promised.

시편 119:1-8
1 복되어라, 그 행실 깨끗하고 야훼의 법을 따라 사는 사람.
Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.
2 복되어라, 맺은 언약 지키고 마음을 쏟아 그를 찾는 사람,
Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
3 나쁜 일 하지 아니하고 그의 길만 따라 가는 사람.
They do nothing wrong; they walk in his ways.
4 당신은 계명들을 내리시고 온전히 그대로 살라 하셨으니
You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.
5 당신 뜻을 어기지 않고 굳굳하게 살도록 해 주소서.
Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!
6 그 명령을 낱낱이 명심하면 부끄러운 일을 당하지 않으리이다.
Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.
7 당신의 바른 결정을 내가 배워서 진심으로 감사하오리이다.
I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.
8 당신 뜻대로 힘써 살려 하오니, 이 몸을 아주 버리지 마소서.
I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.



마태복음 5:43-48
43 "'네 이웃을 사랑하고 원수를 미워하여라' 고 하신 말씀을 너희는 들었다.
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 그러나 나는 이렇게 말한다. 원수를 사랑하고 너희를 박해하는 사람들을 위하여 기도하여라.
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 그래야만 너희는 하늘에 계신 아버지의 아들이 될 것이다. 아버지께서는 악한 사람에게나 선한 사람에게나 똑같이 햇빛을 주시고 옳은 사람에게나 옳지 못한 사람에게나 똑같이 비를 내려주신다.
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 너희가 자기를 사랑하는 사람들만 사랑한다면 무슨 상을 받겠느냐? 세리들도 그만큼은 하지 않느냐?
If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
47 또 너희가 자기 형제들에게만 인사를 한다면 남보다 나을 것이 무엇이냐? 이방인들도 그만큼은 하지 않느냐? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
48 하늘에 계신 아버지께서 완전하신 것같이 너희도 완전한 사람이 되어라."
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.


오랫만에 올립니다. 오늘 말씀에서 다음 두구절이 마음 깊이 새겨집니다. 우리의 힘으로는 결코 완전해 질 수 없지만 주님 가신 그 길-우리에게 몸소 가르쳐주신 그 길을 따르는 제자의 삶이 바로 아버지처럼 완전해지는 길 아니겠습니까. 사순절 기간, 고난의 길을 걸으신 주님만 바라보고 따르는 삶이 되기를 축원합니다.  
I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.(시119:7)
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.(마5:48)
