이사야 7:10-14
10 야훼께서 아하즈에게 다시 이르셨다.
Again the LORD spoke to Ahaz,
11 "너는 야훼 너의 하나님께 징조를 보여 달라고 청하여라. 지하 깊은 데서나 저 위 높은 데서 오는 징조를 보여 달라고 하여라."
"Ask the LORD your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights."
12 아하즈가 대답하였다. "아닙니다. 나는 징조를 요구하여 야훼를 시험해 보지는 않겠습니다."
But Ahaz said, "I will not ask; I will not put the LORD to the test."
13 이사야가 말하였다. "다윗 왕실은 들어라. 사람들을 성가시게 하는 것도 부족하여 나의 하나님까지도 성가시게 하려는가? Then Isaiah said, "Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also?
14 그런즉, 주께서 몸소 징조를 보여 주시리니, 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 그 이름을 임마누엘이라 하리라. Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

시편 40:5-10
5 야훼, 나의 하나님, 우리를 위하여 놀라운 일을 많이도 하셨사오니 당신과 비길 자 아무도 없사옵니다. 그 이야기 세상에 알리고 또 알리려 하옵는데, 이루 다 셀 길이 없사옵니다.
Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.
6 짐승이나 곡식의 예물은 당신께서 아니 원하시고 오히려 내 귀를 열어 주셨사오며 번제와 속죄제를 바치라 아니하셨기에 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but my ears you have pierced; burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.
7 엎드려 아뢰었사옵니다. "제가 대령하였습니다". 나를 들어 두루마리에 적어 두신 것, 당신 뜻을 따르라시는 것인 줄 아옵니다.
Then I said, "Here I am, I have come--it is written about me in the scroll.
8 나의 하나님, 당신의 법을 내 마음 속에 간직하고 기뻐합니다.
I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart."
9 이렇게 많은 사람이 모인 자리에서 당신의 정의를 알렸사옵니다. 야훼여, 아시다시피, 나는 입을 다물고 있을 수가 없사옵니다.
I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, as you know, O LORD.
10 당신의 정의를 내 마음 속에 숨겨 두지 않고, 당신의 진실하심과 구원을 알렸사옵니다. 당신의 사랑과 진리를 그 큰 모임에서 숨길수가 없었사옵니다.
do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly.

히브리서 10:4-10
4 황소와 염소의 피로써는 죄를 없앨 수가 없기 때문입니다.
because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
5 그래서 그리스도께서 세상에 오셨을 때에 하나님께 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. "당신은 율법의 희생제물과 봉헌물을 원하시지 않았습니다. 그래서 저를 참 제물로 받으시려고 인간이 되게 하셨습니다.
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
6 당신은 번제물과 속죄의 제물도 기뻐하지 않으셨습니다.
with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.
7 그래서 제가 말했습니다. '하나님, 저는 성서에 기록된 대로 당신의 뜻을 이루려고 왔습니다'."
Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll--I have come to do your will, O God.'"
8 그리스도께서 처음에는 "당신은 희생제물과 봉헌물과 번제물과 속죄제물을 원하지도 기뻐하지도 않으셨습니다" 하고 말씀하셨습니다. 이런 것들은 율법을 따라 바쳐지는 것인데도 그리스도께서는 이렇게 말씀하신 것입니다. First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made).
9 다음에는 "하나님, 저는 당신의 뜻을 이루려고 왔습니다" 하고 말씀하셨습니다. 이렇게 그리스도께서는 나중 것을 세우기 위해서 먼저 것을 폐기하셨습니다. Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second.
10 예수 그리스도께서는 하나님의 뜻을 따라 단 한 번 몸을 바치셨고 그 때문에 우리는 거룩한 사람이 되었습니다. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

루가복음 1:26-38
26 엘리사벳이 아기를 가진 지 여섯 달이 되었을 때에 하나님께서는 천사 가브리엘을 갈릴래아 지방 나자렛이라는 동네로 보내시어
In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee,
27 다윗 가문의 요셉이라는 사람과 약혼한 처녀를 찾아가게 하셨다. 그 처녀의 이름은 마리아였다.
to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
28 천사는 마리아의 집으로 들어 가 "은총을 가득히 받은 이여, 기뻐하여라. 주께서 너와 함께 계신다" 하고 인사하였다.
The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
29 마리아는 몹시 당황하여 도대체 그 인사말이 무슨 뜻일까 하고 곰곰이 생각하였다.
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.
30 그러자 천사는 다시 "두려워하지 말라. 마리아, 너는 하나님의 은총을 받았다.
But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.
31 이제 아기를 가져 아들을 낳을 터이니 이름을 예수라 하여라.
You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.
32 그 아기는 위대한 분이 되어 지극히 높으신 하나님의 아들이라 불릴 것이다. 주 하나님께서 그에게 조상 다윗의 왕위를 주시어 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,
33 야곱의 후손을 영원히 다스리는 왕이 되겠고 그의 나라는 끝이 없을 것이다" 하고 일러 주었다.
and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
34 이 말을 듣고 마리아가 "이 몸은 처녀입니다. 어떻게 그런 일이 있을 수 있겠습니까?" 하자
"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
35 천사는 이렇게 대답하였다. "성령이 너에게 내려오시고 지극히 높으신 분의 힘이 감싸주실 것이다. 그러므로 태어나실 그 거룩한 아기를 하나님의 아들이라 부르게 될 것이다.
The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
36 네 친척 엘리사벳을 보아라. 아기를 낳지 못하는 여자라고들 하였지만, 그 늙은 나이에도 아기를 가진 지가 벌써 여섯 달이나 되었다. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month.
37 하나님께서 하시는 일은 안 되는 것이 없다."
For nothing is impossible with God."
38 이 말을 들은 마리아는 "이 몸은 주님의 종입니다. 지금 말씀대로 저에게 이루어지기를 바랍니다" 하고 대답하였다. 그러자 천사는 마리아에게서 떠나갔다. "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
