2005년 3월 12일 성서말씀

예레미야 11:18-20
18 사람들이 나를 해치려고 하는 것을 야훼께서 알려 주셔서, 나는 그 일을 알게 되었다.
Because the LORD revealed their plot to me, I knew it, for at that time he showed me what they were doing.
19 죽을 자리에 끌려가면서도 아무 것도 모르는 어린 양처럼, 나는 사람들이 나를 해치려고 하는 줄을 몰랐었다. "나무가 싱싱할 때 찍어 버리자. 인간 세상에서 없애 버리자. 이름조차 남지 못하게 만들자" 하며 음모를 꾸몄지만, 도무지 나는 알지 못하였다. I had been like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter; I did not realize that they had plotted against me, saying, "Let us destroy the tree and its fruit; let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name be remembered no more."
20 "만군의 야훼여, 사람의 뱃속과 심장을 달아보시는 공정한 재판관이시여! 하나님께 호소합니다. 이 백성에게 원수를 갚아 주십시오. 그것을 이 눈으로 보아야겠습니다."
But, O LORD Almighty, you who judge righteously and test the heart and mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you I have committed my cause.

시편 7:1-2, 8-10
1 야훼, 나의 하나님! 당신께 이 몸 피하오니, 나를 뒤쫓는 모든 자들에게서 구하시고 살려 주소서.
A shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush, a Benjamite. O LORD my God,  I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me,
2 사자처럼 달려들어 이 목숨 발기발기 찢어도 살려 줄 자 어디 있사옵니까?
or they will tear me like a lion and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
8 민족들의 재판관이신 야훼여, 이 몸은 아무 허물이 없사오니, 야훼여, 바른 판결을 내려 주소서.
let the LORD judge the peoples. Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High.
9 사람의 마음 속, 뱃속을 헤쳐 보시는 공정하신 하나님, 악한 자들이 다시는 설치지 못하게 하시고 무죄한 사람들은 뒷받침해 주소서. O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.
10 더없이 높으신 하나님은 나의 방패, 올바른 사람에게 승리를 안겨주시는 분,
My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.

요한복음 7:40-52
40 이 말씀을 들은 사람들 중에는 "저분은 분명히 그 예언자이시다"
On hearing his words, some of the people said, "Surely this man is the Prophet."
41 또는 "저분은 그리스도이시다" 하고 말하는 사람들이 있는가 하면 어떤 사람들은 "그리스도가 갈릴래아에서 나올 리가 있겠는가?
Others said, "He is the Christ." Still others asked, "How can the Christ come from Galilee?
42 성서에도 그리스도는 다윗의 자손으로 다윗이 살던 동네 베들레헴에서 태어나리라고 하지 않았느냐?" 하고 말했다. Does not the Scripture say that the Christ will come from David's family and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?"
43 이렇게 군중은 예수 때문에 서로 갈라졌다.
Thus the people were divided because of Jesus.
44 몇 사람은 예수를 잡아가고 싶어하였지만 예수께 손을 대는 사람은 하나도 없었다.
Some wanted to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him.
45 성전 경비병들이 그대로 돌아 온 것을 보고 대사제들과 바리사이파 사람들은 "어찌하여 그를 잡아오지 않았느냐?" 하고 물었다.
Finally the temple guards went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, "Why didn't you bring him in?"
46 경비병들은 "저희는 이제까지 그분처럼 말하는 사람은 본 적이 없습니다" 하고 대답하였다.
"No one ever spoke the way this man does," the guards declared.
47 이 말을 들은 바리사이파 사람들은 "너희마저 속아넘어갔느냐?
"You mean he has deceived you also?" the Pharisees retorted.
48 우리 지도자들이나 바리사이파 사람들 중에 단 한 사람이라도 그를 믿는 사람을 보았느냐?
"Has any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed in him?
49 도대체 율법도 모르는 이 따위 무리는 저주받을 족속이다" 하고 말하였다.
No! But this mob that knows nothing of the law--there is a curse on them."
50 그 자리에는 전에 예수를 찾아 왔던 니고데모도 끼어 있었는데 그는
Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus earlier and who was one of their own number, asked,
51 "도대체 우리 율법에 먼저 그 사람의 말을 들어 보거나 그가 한 일을 알아보지도 않고 죄인으로 단정하는 법이 어디 있소?" 하고 한 마디 하였다.
"Does our law condemn anyone without first hearing him to find out what he is doing?"
52 그러자 그들은 "당신도 갈릴레아 사람이란 말이오? 성서를 샅샅이 뒤져보시오. 갈릴레아에서 예언자가 나온다는 말은 없소" 하고 핀잔을 주었다. They replied, "Are you from Galilee, too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet does not come out of Galilee."
