Greetings


It took so long to send you my update since I moved to southern California. My family moved to an apartment complex where a number of Korean live. Living in a Korean community is a new experience to my family. My kids are improving their Korean thanks to Korean kids around them. Once my kids talked each other that they had a Korean food at their school cafeteria. Saeyoung has a quiet time fellowship with pastors wives at our apartment community. Having a fellowship with pastors wives and other Koreans, she have been learning about Korean immigrants lives and their difficulties. Saeyoung has been ministering Korean folks here by prayer and fellowship with them.


I have started a Korean church since the first Sunday of Advent. Following my conviction, church-based mission and mission-based church, I was called to plant a church which is committed to be an anchor church to pray and support for missionary work. We have 15-18 people on Sunday. John Rim, one of church members is going to be ordained to the Deaconate this Sunday. As soon as John is ordained to the priesthood, John will be a priest in charge of this church so that I will be able to focus on reaching the Unreached and mobilizing Asian churches in southern California. Now is a transitional time for me to launch a mission-minded church. So I have to do two task:missionary works and church planting. Therefore, I need your double prayers for me in this transitional time.


There was South East Asia Symposium in Fort Worth, Texas. Three Anglican clergy men from Singapore came to the meeting. I had a chance to talk with these Singaporean pastors to improve our partnership and trust. It was a very interesting and challenging meeting because the participants at the meeting came from four different cultural backgrounds: English speaking Chinese Singaporeans, a Korean, a Laotian, two Americans. It was very valuable time for me to build partnership with the Diocese of Singapore. Please pray that the Lord would guide and give me lots of wisdom and patience as I work with the Diocese of Singapore in partnership.


My missionary travelings are coming up. Here is my traveling plan til the second quarter 2012.


March 11-18 Vietnam
March 19-30 Bangkok,Thailand
May- two weeks. Nepal  (dates are not settled. It will be settled after Bangkok meeting)


I need to meet Koreans in Vietnam who are interested in supporting Lucy's (a Korean missionary in Vietnam) ministry in Saigon. As Asia Director, I need to present Global Teams' works to them officially so that Lucy can work as an commissioned missionary by a legitimate mission organization. Being recognized is very important to Asian as well.  Please pray that the Lord would open doors for me to build larger Korean communities for mission in Vietnam. I got to meet a Vietnamese woman  during my training in Vietnam while she was visiting her family. After I moved to La Palma, she phoned me to meet me. She and her daughter visited me and shared their testimonies. They are willing to help me for mission in Vietnam. I sense that the Lord wants to use Vietnamese Christians in USA to reach the Unreached in Vietnam.


Right after Vietnam trip, I will be heading for Bangkok. I have two tasks in Bangkok. There will be a missionary training using an inductive Bible study. This is my second time. This training will equip the participating missionaries to reach the Unreached as Jesus and the Apostles did to multiply Jesus movements in different cultures.


I am planning to go to Nepal in May for training missionary training trainers. Global Teams is trying to make two bases in Asia. One is in Bangladesh, another in Nepal. These training bases will be centers for training and sending missionaries of Global Teams. It is necessary for GT to train more trainers who will train missionaries in countries in Asia. Please pray that the the Lord would prepare, protect this training, and provide our financial needs for this training.




Now I am working on making a Spiritual Warfare training manual for GT. I have met a well-known scholar, Dr. Charles Kraft to get his advice for this project. GT has experience lots of Spiritual Warfare in the past. Dr. Kraft advised GT to prepare to do Spiritual Warfare against the Evil as GT pioneer churches in exclusive areas. It is not a easy task to develop a training manual for Spiritual Warfare focused on missionary works. I ask you to pray for me especially for this task. I need lots of wisdom and insight.
