사도행전 3:11-26
11 그 사람이 베드로와 요한의 곁을 떠나지 않고 솔로몬 행각이라는 곳에 있을 때 사람들은 모두 그의 소문을 듣고 놀라서 그리로 달려갔다. While the beggar held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon's Colonnade.
12 베드로는 그 사람들을 보고 "이스라엘 동포 여러분, 왜 이 사람을보고 놀랍니까? 왜 우리를 유심히 쳐다봅니까? 우리 자신이 무슨 능력이 있거나 경건해서 걷게 하여 준 줄로 생각합니까?
When Peter saw this, he said to them: "Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
13 여러분이 하나님의 종 예수를 잡아 빌라도에게 넘겨 주었을 때 빌라도가 예수를 놓아 주려고 작정하였는데도 여러분은 빌라도 앞에서 그를 배척하였습니다. 그러나 아브라함과 이사악과 야곱의하나님이시며 우리 조상들의 하나님이신 그 하나님께서 바로 그 종 예수를 영광스럽게 해 주셨습니다. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go.
14 여러분은 거룩하고 죄 없으신 그분을 배척하고 그분 대신에 살인자를 놓아 달라고 빌라도에게 청하여 You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you.
15 마침내 생명을 주관하시는 분을 죽이고 말았습니다. 그러나 하나님께서는 그분을 죽은 자들 가운데서 살리셨습니다. 우리는 다 그 목격자들입니다.
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.
16 보시는 바와 같이 여러분이 잘 알고 있는 이 사람은 바로 그 예수의 이름으로 낫게 된 것입니다. 이것은 그 이름을 믿는 우리의 믿음으로 된 것이며 예수를 믿는 그 믿음이 여러분 앞에서이 사람을 완전히 낫게 한 것입니다. By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.
17 그런데 형제 여러분! 여러분이 그런 잘못을 저지른 것은 여러분의지도자들과 똑같이 무지한 탓이었다는 것을 나는 잘 알고 있습니다.
"Now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders.
18 하나님께서는 모든 예언자들의 입을 빌어 그리스도가 고난을 받을것이라고 말씀하셨는데 그 말씀이 미리 예언하신 대로 이루어진 것입니다. But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Christ would suffer.
19 그러니 여러분은 회개하고 하나님께 돌아 오시오. 그러면 하나님께서 여러분의 죄를 깨끗이 씻어 주실 것이며 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
20 여러분은 주께서 마련하신 위로의 때를 맞이하게 될 것입니다. 그때 주께서는 여러분을 위하여 미리 정하신 그리스도를 보내 주실 것입니다. 예수가 곧 그분이십니다.
and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you--even Jesus.
21 예수께서는 만물을 새롭게 하시는 그 때가 오기까지 하늘에 계셔야 합니다. 이것은 하나님께서 오래 전부터 당신의 거룩한 예언자들의 입을 빌어 말씀하신 대로입니다.
He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.
22 모세가 한 말을 보면 '주님이신 이스라엘의 하나님께서는 나를 보내셨던 것과 같이 이스라엘 민족 가운데서 예언자 하나를 세워주실 터인데 너희는 그 예언자의 말을 잘 들어야 한다.
For Moses said, 'The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.
23 그 예언자의 말을 듣지 않는 사람은 누구든지 그 백성에게서 쫓겨나와 멸망할 것이라' 고 했습니다.
Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his people.'
24 그리고 사무엘을 비롯하여 그 뒤를 이어 예언한 모든 예언자도 다이 세대에 일어날 일을 예언했습니다. "Indeed, all the prophets from Samuel on, as many as have spoken, have foretold these days.
25 여러분은 그 예언자들의 자손이요 하나님께서 여러분의 조상들과 맺으신 계약의 자손입니다. 하나님께서는 아브라함에게 '세상의 모든 민족이 네 후손으로 말미암아 축복을 받으리라' 고 말씀하셨던 것입니다. And you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, 'Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed.'
26 하나님께서 먼저 여러분을 위하여 그 종을 다시 살려 보내 주셨 습니다. 그것은 여러분을 하나도 빠짐없이 악한 길에서 돌아서게 하여 그를 통해서 축복을 받게 하시려는 것이었습니다."
When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways."

시편 8
1 야훼, 우리의 주여! 주의 이름 온 세상에 어찌 이리 크십니까! 주의 영광 기리는 노래 하늘 높이 퍼집니다. For the director of music. According to gittith. A psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
2 어린이, 젖먹이들이 노래합니다. 이로써 원수들과 반역자들을 꺽으시고 당신께 맞서는 자들을 무색케 하셨습니다. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 당신의 작품, 손수 만드신 저 하늘과 달아 놓으신 달과 별들을 우러러 보면
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 사람이 무엇이기에 이토록 생각해 주시며 사람이 무엇이기에 이토록 보살펴 주십니까?
what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
5 그를 하나님 다음가는 자리에 앉히시고 존귀와 영광의 관을 씌워 주셨습니다.
You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 손수 만드신 만물을 다스리게 하시고 모든 것을 발밑에 거느리게 하셨습니다.
You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
7 크고 작은 온갖 가축과 들에서 뛰노는 짐승들하며
all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,
8 공중의 새와 바다의 고기, 물길 따라 두루 다니는 물고기들을 통틀어 다스리게 하셨습니다.
the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 야훼, 우리의 주여! 주의 이름 온 세상에 어찌 이리 크십니까!
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

루가복음 24:35-48
35 그 두 사람도 길에서 당한 일과 빵을 떼어 주실 때에야 비로소 그분이 예수시라는 것을 알아 보게 되었다는 이야기를 들려 주었다. Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.
36 그들이 그런 이야기를 하고 있을 때에 예수께서 나타나 그들 가운데 서시며 "너희에게 평화가 있기를!" 하고 말씀하셨다. While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
37 그들은 너무나 놀랍고 무서워서 유령을 보는 줄 알았다.
They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.
38 예수께서는 그들에게 "왜 그렇게 안절부절 못하고 의심을 품느냐?
He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?
39 내 손과 발을 보아라. 틀림없이 나다! 자, 만져 보아라. 유령은 뼈와 살이 없지만 보다시피 나에게는 있지 않느냐?" Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."
40 하시며 당신의 손과 발을 보여 주셨다.
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.
41 그들은 기뻐하면서도 믿어지지가 않아서 어리둥절해 있는데 예수께서는 "여기에 무엇이든 먹을 것이 좀 없느냐?" 하고 물으셨다. And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?"
42 그들이 구운 생선 한 토막을 드리니 They gave him a piece of broiled fish,
43 예수께서는 그것을 받아 그들이 보는 앞에서 잡수셨다. and he took it and ate it in their presence.
44 그리고 그들에게 "내가 전에 너희와 함께 있을 때에도 말했거니와모세의 율법과 예언서와 시편에 나를 두고 한 말씀은 반드시 다 이루어져야 한다" 하시고
He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."
45 성서를 깨닫게 하시려고 그들의 마음을 열어 주시며
Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
46 "성서의 기록을 보면 그리스도는 고난을 받고 죽었다가 사흘만에 다시 살아난다고 하였다. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,
47 그리고 그리스도의 이름으로 회개하면 죄를 용서받는다는 기쁜 소식이 예루살렘에서 비롯하여 모든 민족에게 전파된다고 하였다. and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 너희는 이 모든 일의 증인이다. You are witnesses of these things.
