2006년 2월 14일 성서말씀 (발렌틴 사제 순교자)

야고보서 1:12-18
12 시련을 견디어 내는 사람은 행복합니다. 시련을 이겨 낸 사람은 생명의 월계관을 받을 것입니다. 그 월계관은 하나님께서 당신을 사랑하는 사람들에게 주시겠다고 약속하신 것입니다.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
13 유혹을 당할 때에 아무도 "하나님께서 나를 유혹하신다" 는 말을 해서는 안 됩니다. 하나님께서는 악의 유혹을 받으실 분도 아니시지만 악을 행하도록 사람을 유혹하실 분도 아니십니다.
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
14 사실은 사람이 자기 욕심에 끌려서 유혹을 당하고 함정에 빠지게되는 것입니다.
but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.
15 욕심이 잉태하면 죄를 낳고 죄가 자라면 죽음을 가져옵니다. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
16 나의 사랑하는 형제 여러분, 속지 마십시오.
Don't be deceived, my dear brothers.
17 온갖 훌륭한 은혜와 모든 완전한 선물은 위로부터 오는 것입니다. 하늘의 빛들을 만드신 아버지께로부터 내려오는 것입니다. 하나님 아버지는 변함도 없으시고 우리를 외면하심으로써 그늘 속에 버려 두시는 일도 없으십니다. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
18 하나님께서는 뜻을 정하시고 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨습니다. 그래서 우리는 모든 피조물의 첫 열매가 된 것입니다. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

시편 94:12-18
12 야훼여, 당신의 교훈을 받아 당신의 법을 배우는 사람은 복됩니다.
Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD, the man you teach from your law;
13 마침내 악인들이 묻힐 무덤을 파는 날, 괴롭던 나날은 모두 지나고 안식을 누릴 것입니다.
you grant him relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 야훼께서는 당신의 백성을 버리지 아니하시고 당신의 택하신 민족을 외면하지 아니하십니다.
For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.
15 마침내 법정이 정의로 돌아오리니 정직한 사람들이 정의를 따르게 될 것입니다.
Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
16 그 누가 나를 위해 악한을 치러 일어나며, 그 누가 내 편을 들어 이 못된 자들을 칠 것인가!
Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?
17 야훼께서 도와 주지 않으신다면 이 몸은 하릴없이 적막한 무덤에 떨어지리라.
Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.
18 그러나 내가 "다리가 휘청거립니다" 하고 말하면 야훼께서는 당신사랑으로 나를 붙들어 주신다.
When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me.

마르코복음 8:14-21
14 제자들이 잊어버리고 빵을 가져오지 못하여 배 안에는 빵이 한 덩어리밖에 없었다.
The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.
15 예수께서 제자들에게 "바리사이파 사람들의 누룩과 헤로데의 누룩을 조심하여라" 하고 경고하시자 "Be careful," Jesus warned them. "Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod."
16 제자들은 "빵이 없구나!" 하며 서로 걱정하였다.
They discussed this with one another and said, "It is because we have no bread."
17 예수께서 그 눈치를 알아채시고 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "빵이 없다고 걱정들을 하다니, 아직도 알지 못하고 깨닫지 못했느냐? 그렇게도 생각이 둔하냐?
Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: "Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened?
18 너희는 눈이 있으면서도 알아보지 못하고 귀가 있으면서도 알아듣지 못하느냐? 벌써 다 잊어 버렸느냐?
Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don't you remember?
19 빵 다섯 개를 오천 명에게 나누어 먹였을 때에 남아서 거두어 들인 빵조각이 몇 광주리나 되었느냐?" 그들은 "열 두 광주리였습니다" 하고 대답하였다. When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?" "Twelve," they replied.
20 또 "빵 일곱 개를 사천 명에게 나누어 먹였을 때에는 남은 조각을 몇 바구니나 거두어 들였느냐?" 하고 물으시자 그들이 "일곱 바구니였습니다" 하고 대답하였다.
"And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?" They answered, "Seven."
21 예수께서는 "그래도 아직 모르겠느냐?" 하고 말씀하셨다.
He said to them, "Do you still not understand?"
