사무엘하 5:1-7, 10
1 이스라엘 여러 족속이 모두 헤브론을 다윗을 찾아 와 아뢰었다. "우리는 임금님과 한 골육입니다.
All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, "We are your own flesh and blood.
2 전에 사울의 우리의 왕이 였을 때에도 우리 이스라엘을 거느리고 출전하신 것은 임금님이었습니다. 야훼께서도 임금님께 '너는 내 백성 이스라엘의 목자로서 이스라엘의 영도자가 되라' 고 하지 않으셨습니까?" In the past, while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns. And the LORD said to you, 'You will shepherd my people Israel, and you will become their ruler.'"
3 이리하여 다윗왕은 헤브론으로 찾아 온 이스라엘의 모든 장로들을맞아 야훼 앞에서 조약을 맺었고, 그들은 다윗에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕으로 삼았다.
When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, the king made a compact with them at Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel.
4 다윗은 나이 삼십에 왕위에 올라 사십 년을 다스렸다.
David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years.
5 헤브론에서 칠 년 육 개월 동안 유다를 다스렸고, 예루살렘에 서는 삼십 삼 년 동안 온 이스라엘과 유다를 다스렸다. In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah thirty-three years.
6 다윗 왕이 부하를 거느리고 예루살렘을 치러 가자, 거기 사는 여부스인들이 다윗에게 빈정거렸다. "너 같은 것이 이리로 쳐들어오다니, 어림도 없다. 소경이 절름발이도 너쯤은 쫓아 낼 수 있다." 그들은 다윗이 감히 쳐들어 오지는 못하리라고 생각했던 것이다. The king and his men marched to Jerusalem to attack the Jebusites, who lived there. The Jebusites said to David, "You will not get in here; even the blind and the lame can ward you off." They thought, "David cannot get in here."
7 그러나 다윗은 그 견고한 성 시온을 점령하였다. 그리하여 이것이다윗의 도성이 되었다.
Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion, the City of David.
(8 그 날, 다윗은 이런 명령을 내렸다. "누가 여부스인을 치려느냐? 물을 길어 올리는 바위벽을 타고 올라 가 절름발이와 소경을 쳐라. 이 다윗은 그자들이 사무치게 밉다." 이리하여 소경과 절름발이는 왕궁에 들어 가지 못하게 되었다. On that day, David said, "Anyone who conquers the Jebusites will have to use the water shaft to reach those 'lame and blind' who are David's enemies." That is why they say, "The 'blind and lame' will not enter the palace."
9 다윗은 그 견고한 성에서 살며 그 성을 다윗의 도성이라고 불렀다. 그는 밀로의 안쪽으로 다시 성곽을 둘러 쌓았다. David then took up residence in the fortress and called it the City of David. He built up the area around it, from the supporting terraces inward.)
10 만군의 하나님 야훼게서 다윗과 함께 계시므로, 그의 세력은 날로 뻗어 갔다.
And he became more and more powerful, because the LORD God Almighty was with him.

시편 89:19-27 (A maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite.)
19 그 옛날, 당신께서 스스로 나타나시어 당신의 성도들에게 말씀하셨습니다. "나는 내 백성의 막내둥이를 들어 높이고 그 용사에게 면류관을 씌워 주었다.
Once you spoke in a vision, to your faithful people you said: "I have bestowed strength on a warrior; I have exalted a young man from among the people.
20 나는 나의 종 다윗을 찾아내어 나의 거룩한 기름을 부어 주었다.
I have found David my servant; with my sacred oil I have anointed him.
21 내가 손으로 그를 돕겠고 내 팔로 그를 강하게 하리니
My hand will sustain him; surely my arm will strengthen him.
22 원수가 그를 당해 내지 못하고 간악한 자도 그를 괴롭히지 못하리라.
No enemy will subject him to tribute; no wicked man will oppress him.
23 내가 그의 면전에서 그의 적들을 짓부수고 그 원수들을 쳐부수리라.
I will crush his foes before him and strike down his adversaries.
24 나의 진실과 사랑이 그이 곁에 있으리니 그가 내 이름으로 뿔을 높이 들리라.
My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn will be exalted.
25 그의 손을 바다 위에 뻗치게 하고 그 오른손을 강에까지 뻗게 하리니
I will set his hand over the sea, his right hand over the rivers.
26 그는 나를 불러, '당신은 나의 아버지, 나의 하나님, 내 구원의 바위이십니다' 하겠고
He will call out to me, 'You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Savior.'
27 나는 그를 맏아들로 삼아 세상 임금 중에 가장 높은 임금으로 세우리라.
I will also appoint him my firstborn, the most exalted of the kings of the earth.

마르코복음 3:22-30
22 예루살렘에서 내려 온 율법학자들도 예수가 베엘제불에게 사로잡혔다느니 또는 마귀 두목의 힘을 빌어 마귀를 쫓아낸다느니하고 떠들었다.
And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, "He is possessed by Beelzebub! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons."
23 그래서 예수께서는 그들을 불러다 놓고 비유로 말씀하셨다. "사탄이 어떻게 사탄을 쫓아낼 수 있겠느냐? So Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan?
24 한 나라가 갈라져 서로 싸우면 그 나라는 제대로 설 수 없다.
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 또 한 가정이 갈라져 서로 싸우면 그 가정도 버티어 나갈 수 없다.
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 만일 사탄의 나라가 내분으로 갈라진다면 그 나라는 지탱하지 못하고 망하게 될 것이다.
And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
27 또 누가 힘센 사람의 집에 들어가서 그 세간을 털어 가려면 그는 먼저 그 힘센 사람을 묶어 놓아야 하지 않겠느냐? 그래야 그 집을 털 수 있을 것이다.
In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house.
28 나는 분명히 말한다. 사람들이 어떤 죄를 짓든 입으로 어떤 욕설을 하든 그것은 다 용서받을 수 있으나 I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them.
29 성령을 모독하는 사람은 영원히 용서받지 못할 것이며 그 죄는 영원히 벗어날 길이 없을 것이다."
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."
30 이 말씀을 하신 것은 사람들이 예수를 더러운 악령에 사로잡혔다고 비방했기 때문이다.
He said this because they were saying, "He has an evil spirit."
