이사야 41:13-20
13 나 야훼가 너의 하나님, 내가 너의 오른손을 붙들어 주며 이르지 않았느냐? '두려워 말라. 내가 너를 도와 준다.'
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
14 두려워 말라, 벌레 같은 야곱아! 구더기 같은 이스라엘아, 내가 너를 도와 주리라. 야훼의 말이다. 이스라엘의 거룩하신 자가 너를 구원하는 이다.
Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
15 보아라, 내가 너를 날이 선 새 탈곡기로 만들리니 네가 모든 산을 짓부수어 뭉그러뜨리고 모든 언덕을 가루로 만들리라.
"See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.
16 네가 원수들을 까불어 바람에 날리면, 그들은 거센 바람에 날려 흩어지리라. 그러나 너는 야훼 앞에서 기뻐 뛰놀며 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분을 믿고 뽐내리라.
You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale will blow them away. But you will rejoice in the LORD and glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 억눌린 빈민들은 물을 찾아도 얻지 못하여 목말라 혀마저 바싹 타지마는, 나, 야훼가 그들의 하소연을 들어 주고 나, 이스라엘의 하나님이 그들을 버리지 않으리니,
"The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
18 대머리산에 개울물이 흐르고 골짜기에서 샘이 터지리라. 마른 땅에서 물이 솟아 나와 사막을 늪으로 만들리라.
I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs.
19 사막에 송백과 아카시아와 소귀나무와 올리브나무를 심고 황무지에 전나무와 느티나무와 회양목을 함께 심으리라."
I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together,
20 이것을 야훼께서 손수 하신 일, 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이가 이루신 일임을 그들에게 깨우쳐 알리시려고 이 모든 일을 똑똑히 보여 주신 것이다.
so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

시편 145:1, 8-13 (A psalm of praise. Of David.)
1 나의 하나님, 나의 임금님, 내가 당신을 높이 받들며 언제까지나 당신 이름 찬양하오리이다.
I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.

8 야훼는 자애롭고 자비로우시며 화를 참으시고 사랑이 지극하시다.
The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9 야훼는 모든 것을 인자하게 보살피시고 그 부드러운 사랑은 모든 피조물에 미친다.
The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10 야훼여, 당신의 온갖 피조물들이 감사노래 부르고 신도들이 당신을 찬양하게 하소서.
All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you.
11 그들이 당신 나라의 영광을 들어 말하고 당신의 공적을 이야기하게 하소서.
They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12 그리하여 당신의 공적을 사람에게 알리고 당신 나라의 그 찬란한 영광을 알리게 하소서.
so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 당신의 나라는 영원한 나라, 당신만이 만세에 왕이십니다. 야훼의 말씀은 언제나 진실되고, 그 하시는 일 모두 사랑의 업적이다.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.

마태복음 11:11-15
11 나는 분명히 말한다. 일찌기 여자의 몸에서 태어난 사람 중에 세례자 요한보다 더 큰 인물은 없었다. 그러나 하늘 나라에서 가장 작은 이라도 그 사람보다는 크다."
I tell you the truth: Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 "세례자 요한 때부터 지금까지 하늘 나라는 폭행을 당해 왔다. 그리고 폭행을 쓰는 사람들이 하늘 나라를 빼앗으려고 한다.
From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.
13 그런데 모든 예언서와 율법이 예언하는 일은 요한에게서 끝난다.
For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.
14 너희가 그 예언을 받아들인다면 다시 오기로 된 엘리야가 바로 그 요한임을 알 것이다.
And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.
15 들을 귀가 있는 사람은 알아 들어라."
He who has ears, let him hear.

오늘 하루도 주님의 음성을 듣고 주님의 사랑을 전하며 주님의 신실하심을 찬양하는 자 되게 하소서.
