창세기 14:18-20
18 살렘왕 멜기세덱은 떡과 포도주를 가지고 나왔다. 그는 지극히 높으신 하나님을 섬기는 사제였다.
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,
19 그는 아브람에게 복을 빌어 주었다. "하늘과 땅을 만드시고 지극히 높으신 하나님이여 아브람에게 복을 내리소서.
and he blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.
20 그대의 원수를 그대의 손에 붙이신 지극히 높으신 하나님께 찬양을 드리어라." 아브람은 자기가 가진 것 전부에서 십분의 일을 그에게 주었다.
And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand." Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

시편 116:12-19
12 야훼께서 베푸신 그 크신 은혜, 내가 무엇으로 보답할까!
How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me?
13 구원의 감사 잔을 받들고서 야훼의 이름을 부르리라.
I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
14 야훼께 서약한 것, 내가 채워 드리리니 당신의 백성은 빠짐없이 모여라.
I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.
15 야훼께 충실한 자의 죽음은 그분께 귀중하다.
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
16 야훼여, 이 몸은 당신의 종이옵니다. 당신 여종의 아들인 당신의 이 종을 사슬에서 풀어 주셨사옵니다. O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant; you have freed me from my chains.
17 내가 당신께 감사제를 드리고 야훼의 이름을 부르리이다.
I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.
18 야훼께 서약한 것, 내가 채워 드리리니, 당신의 백성은 빠짐없이 모이라.
I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,
19 너 예루살렘아, 네 한가운데 야훼의 성전, 그 울 안에서 바치리라. 할렐루야.
in the courts of the house of the LORD--in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

1고린도 11:23-26
23 내가 여러분에게 전해 준 것은 주님께로부터 받은 것입니다. 곧 주 예수께서 잡히시던 날 밤에 빵을 손에 드시고 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
24 감사의 기도를 드리신 다음 빵을 떼시고 "이것은 너희들을 위하여주는 내 몸이니 나를 기억하여 이 예를 행하여라" 하고 말씀하셨습니다. and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."
25 또 식후에 잔을 드시고 감사의 기도를 드리신 다음 "이것은 내 피로 맺는 새로운 계약의 잔이니 마실 때마다 나를 기억하여 이 예를 행하여라" 하고 말씀하셨습니다.
In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
26 그러므로 여러분은 이 빵을 먹고 이 잔을 마실 때마다 주님의 죽으심을 선포하고, 이것을 주님께서 다시 오실 때까지 하십시오.
For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

요한복음 6:51-58
51 나는 하늘에서 내려 온 살아 있는 빵이다. 이 빵을 먹는 사람은 누구든지 영원한 살 것이다. 내가 줄 빵은 곧 나의 살이다. 세상은 그것으로 생명을 얻게 될 것이다" 하고 말씀하셨다.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
52 유다인들이 이 말씀을 듣고 "이 사람이 어떻게 자기 살을 우리에게 먹으라고 내어 줄 수 있단 말인가?" 하며 서로 따졌다. Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
53 예수께서는 다시 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "정말 잘 들어 두어라. 만일 너희가 사람의 아들의 살과 피를 먹고 마시지 않으면 너희 안에 생명을 간직하지 못할 것이다.
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 그러나 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 사람은 영원한 생명을 누릴 것이며 내가 마지막 날에 그를 살릴 것이다.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 내 살은 참된 양식이며 내 피는 참된 음료이기 때문이다.
For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 사람은 내 안에서 살고 나도 그 안에서 산다.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
57 살아 계신 아버지께서 나를 보내셨고 내가 아버지의 힘으로 사는 것과 같이 나를 먹는 사람도 나의 힘으로 살 것이다. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
58 이것이 바로 하늘에서 내려 온 빵이다. 이 빵은 너희의 조상들이 먹고도 결국 죽어 간 그런 빵이 아니다. 이 빵을 먹는 사람은 영원히 살 것이다."
This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."
