사도행전 13:13-25
13 바울로 일행은 바포에서 배를 타고 밤필리아 지방 베르게로 건너 갔다. 거기에서 요한은 그들과 헤어져 예루살렘으로 돌아 갔다. From Paphos, Paul and his companions sailed to Perga in Pamphylia, where John left them to return to Jerusalem.
14 나머지 사람들은 베르게에서 다시 길을 떠나 비시디아 안티오키아까지 갔다. 그들은 안식일이 되어 그 곳 회당에 들어 가 앉아 있었다. From Perga they went on to Pisidian Antioch. On the Sabbath they entered the synagogue and sat down.
15 회당에서 율법서와 예언서의 낭독이 끝나자 회당의 간부들이 사람을 시켜 바울로와 바르나바에게 "두 분께서 혹 격려할 말씀이있거든 이 회중에게 한 말씀 해 주셨으면 좋겠습니다" 하고 청하였다.
After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the synagogue rulers sent word to them, saying, "Brothers, if you have a message of encouragement for the people, please speak."
16 그래서 바울로는 일어나 손짓을 하며 이렇게 말하였다. "이스라엘동포 여러분, 그리고 하나님을 공경하는 여러분, 제 말을 들어 보십시오. Standing up, Paul motioned with his hand and said: "Men of Israel and you Gentiles who worship God, listen to me!
17 우리 이스라엘 백성의 하나님께서는 우리 조상들을 택하셔서 그들이 이국 땅 에집트에 머물러 있는 동안에 강대한 민족으로 키워 주셨을 뿐만 아니라 크신 능력으로써 그들을 에집트에서 데려 내오셨습니다. The God of the people of Israel chose our fathers; he made the people prosper during their stay in Egypt, with mighty power he led them out of that country,
18 더구나 광야 생활 사십 년 동안은 그들이 저지른 온갖 잘못도 참아 주셨습니다.
he endured their conduct for about forty years in the desert,
19 그리고 그들이 가나안 땅에 들어 갔을 때에는 하나님께서 그 곳 일곱 민족을 쳐부수시고 그 땅을 그들에게 주셔서
he overthrew seven nations in Canaan and gave their land to his people as their inheritance.
20 약 사백 오십년 동안 차지하게 하셨습니다. 그뒤 판관들을 세워주셨고 예언자 사무엘 때에 이르러
All this took about 450 years. "After this, God gave them judges until the time of Samuel the prophet.
21 그들이 왕을 요구하자 하나님께서는 베냐민 지파 사람 키스의 아들 사울을 왕으로 세워 사십 년 동안 다스리게 하시다가 Then the people asked for a king, and he gave them Saul son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin, who ruled forty years.
22 그를 물리치시고 다윗을 왕으로 세우셨습니다. 이 다윗에 대해서는 '내가 이새의 아들 다윗을 찾아 냈으니 그는 내 마음에 드는 사람이요, 내 뜻을 다 이루어 줄 사람이다' 라고 말씀하신 바가 있습니다. After removing Saul, he made David their king. He testified concerning him: 'I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.'
23 하나님께서는 언약하신 대로 다윗의 후손 가운데서 이스라엘을 구원할 구세주 예수를 보내 주셨습니다.
"From this man's descendants God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as he promised.
24 그분이 오시기 전에 요한은 이스라엘 온 백성에게 회개하고 세례를 받으라고 선포하였습니다.
Before the coming of Jesus, John preached repentance and baptism to all the people of Israel.
25 요한이 자기 사명을 다 마쳐 갈 무렵에 '당신들은 나를 누구라고 생각합니까? 나는 그리스도가 아닙니다. 그분은 내 뒤에 오실 터인데 나는 그분의 신발 끈을 풀어 드릴 자격조차 없는 사람입니다' 라고 말하였습니다. As John was completing his work, he said: 'Who do you think I am? I am not that one. No, but he is coming after me, whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.'

시편 89:1-2, 20-26
1 야훼여, 내가 당신의 사랑을 영원히 노래하리이다. 당신의 미쁘심을 대대로 전하리이다.
A maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the LORD'S great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.
2 당신께서 다짐하신 사랑, 그 미쁘심은 하늘처럼 영원히 흔들리지 않사옵니다.
I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
20 나는 나의 종 다윗을 찾아내어 나의 거룩한 기름을 부어 주었다.
I have found David my servant; with my sacred oil I have anointed him.
21 내가 손으로 그를 돕겠고 내 팔로 그를 강하게 하리니
My hand will sustain him; surely my arm will strengthen him.
22 원수가 그를 당해 내지 못하고 간악한 자도 그를 괴롭히지 못하리라.
No enemy will subject him to tribute; no wicked man will oppress him.
23 내가 그의 면전에서 그의 적들을 짓부수고 그 원수들을 쳐부수리라.
I will crush his foes before him and strike down his adversaries.
24 나의 진실과 사랑이 그이 곁에 있으리니 그가 내 이름으로 뿔을 높이 들리라.
My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn will be exalted.
25 그의 손을 바다 위에 뻗치게 하고 그 오른손을 강에까지 뻗게 하리니
I will set his hand over the sea, his right hand over the rivers.
26 그는 나를 불러, '당신은 나의 아버지, 나의 하나님, 내 구원의 바위이십니다' 하겠고
He will call out to me, 'You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Savior.'

요한복음 13:16-20
16 정말 잘 들어 두어라. 종이 주인보다 더 나을 수 없고 파견된 사람이 파견한 사람보다 더 나을 수는 없다. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
17 이제 너희는 이것을 알았으니 그대로 실천하면 축복을 받을 것이다.
Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
18 이것은 너희 모두를 두고 하는 말은 아니다. 나는 내가 뽑은 사람들을 알고 있다. 그러나 '나와 함께 빵을 먹는 자가 나를 배반하였다' 고 한 성경 말씀은 이루어질 것이다.
"I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill the scripture: 'He who shares my bread has lifted up his heel against me.'
19 내가 미리 이 일을 일러 주는 것은 그 일이 일어날 때 너희로 하여금 내가 누구라는 것을 믿게 하려는 것이다. "I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am He.
20 정말 잘 들어 두어라. 내가 보내는 사람을 받아 들이는 사람은 나를 보내신 분을 받아 들인다."
I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me."
