사도행전 9:1-20
1 한편 사울은 여전히 살기를 띠고 주의 제자들을 위협하며 대사제에게 가서 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest
2 다마스커스에 있는 여러 회당에 보내는 공문을 청하였다. 그렇게 해서 그리스도교를 믿는 사람은 남자 여자 할 것 없이 눈에 띄는 대로 잡아서 예루살렘으로 끌어 올 수 있는 권한을 받았다.
and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.
3 사울이 길을 떠나 다마스커스 가까이에 이르렀을 때에 갑자기 하늘에서 빛이 번쩍이며 그의 둘레를 환히 비추었다.
As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
4 그가 땅에 엎드리자 "사울아, 사울아, 네가 왜 나를 박해하느냐?"하는 음성이 들려 왔다.
He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"
5 사울이 "당신은 누구십니까?" 하고 물으니 "나는 네가 박해하는 예수다.
"Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.
6 일어나서 시내로 들어가거라. 그러면 네가 해야 할 일을 일러 줄 사람이 있을 것이다" 하는 대답이 들려 왔다. "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."
7 사울과 동행하던 사람들도 그 음성은 들었지만 아무것도 보이지 않아 벙벙해서 서 있기만 하였다.
The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.
8 사울은 땅에서 일어나 눈을 떴으나 앞이 보이지 않았다. 그래서 사람들이 그의 손을 끌고 다마스커스로 데리고 갔다. Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus.
9 사울은 사흘 동안 앞을 못 보고 먹지도 않고 마시지도 않았다.
For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
10 다마스커스에 아나니아라는 제자 한 사람이 살고 있었는데 주께서 신비로운 영상 가운데 나타나 "아나니아야" 하고 부르셨다. 아나니아가 "예, 주님, 말씀하십시오" 하고 대답하자
In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, "Ananias!" "Yes, Lord," he answered.
11 주께서는 "어서 일어나 '곧은 거리' 라는 동네에 사는 유다의 집으로 가서 다르소 사람 사울을 찾아라. 사울은 지금 기도를 하고 있는데 The Lord told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
12 그는 아나니아라는 사람이 들어 와서 손을 얹어 다시 눈을 뜨게 해 주는 것을 신비로운 영상으로 보았다" 하고 말씀하셨다. In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight."
13 이 말씀을 듣고 아나니아가 "주님, 그 사람에 대해서는 여러 사람에게서 들은 바 있습니다. 그는 예루살렘에 사는 주님의 성도들에게 많은 해를 끼쳤다고 합니다. "Lord," Ananias answered, "I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.
14 더구나 그는 대사제에게서 주님을 믿는 사람들을 잡아 갈 권한을 받아 가지고 여기 와 있습니다" 하고 대답하였다.
And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name."
15 주께서는 그에게 다시 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "그래도 가야 한다. 그 사람은 내가 뽑은 인재로서 내 이름을 이방인들과 제왕들과 이스라엘 백성들에게 널리 전파할 사람이다.
But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.
16 나는 그가 내 이름 때문에 얼마나 많은 고난을 받아야 할지 그에게 보여 주겠다."
I will show him how much he must suffer for my name."
17 그래서 아나니아는 곧 그 집을 찾아가서 사울에게 손을 얹고 이렇게 말하였다. "사울 형제, 나는 주님의 심부름으로 왔습니다. 그분은 당신이 여기 오는 길에 나타나셨던 예수님이십니다. 그분이 나를 보내시며 당신의 눈을 뜨게 하고 성령을 가득히 받게 하라고 분부하셨습니다."
Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord--Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here--has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
18 그러자 곧 사울의 눈에서 비늘 같은 것이 떨어지면서 다시 보게 되었다. 그는 그 자리에서 일어나 세례를 받은 다음  Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,
19 음식을 먹고 기운을 회복하였다. 사울은 며칠 동안 다마스커스에 있는 신도들과 함께 지내고 나서
and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.
20 곧 여러 회당에서 예수가 바로 하나님의 아들이심을 전파하기 시작하였다.
At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.

시편 117
1 너희 모든 백성들아, 야훼를 찬양하여라. 너희 모든 나라들아, 그를 송축하여라.
Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.
2 그의 사랑 우리에게 뜨겁고 그의 진실하심 영원하시다. 할렐루야.
For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.

요한복음 6:52-59
52 유다인들이 이 말씀을 듣고 "이 사람이 어떻게 자기 살을 우리에게 먹으라고 내어 줄 수 있단 말인가?" 하며 서로 따졌다. Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
53 예수께서는 다시 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "정말 잘 들어 두어라. 만일 너희가 사람의 아들의 살과 피를 먹고 마시지 않으면 너희 안에 생명을 간직하지 못할 것이다. Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 그러나 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 사람은 영원한 생명을 누릴 것이며 내가 마지막 날에 그를 살릴 것이다.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 내 살은 참된 양식이며 내 피는 참된 음료이기 때문이다.
For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 사람은 내 안에서 살고 나도 그 안에서 산다.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
57 살아 계신 아버지께서 나를 보내셨고 내가 아버지의 힘으로 사는 것과 같이 나를 먹는 사람도 나의 힘으로 살 것이다. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
58 이것이 바로 하늘에서 내려 온 빵이다. 이 빵은 너희의 조상들이 먹고도 결국 죽어 간 그런 빵이 아니다. 이 빵을 먹는 사람은 영원히 살 것이다." This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."
59 이것은 예수께서 가파르나움 회당에서 가르치실 때 하신 말씀이다.
He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.


사도행전 9장 15-16절
15 주께서는 그에게 다시 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "그래도 가야 한다. 그 사람은 내가 뽑은 인재로서 내 이름을 이방인들과 제왕들과 이스라엘 백성들에게 널리 전파할 사람이다.
But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.
16 나는 그가 내 이름 때문에 얼마나 많은 고난을 받아야 할지 그에게 보여 주겠다."
I will show him how much he must suffer for my name."

우리 모두는 주님께 뽑힌 사람들입니다. 그분의 이름을 전파하기 위해, 그리고 그분의 고난에 동참하기 위해.... 그분의 살과 피를 마시며 영원한 생명을 누리며 마지막 날에 그분과 함께 다시 살아날 것입니다.
