호세아 14:2-10
2 이스라엘아, 너희 하나님 야훼께 돌아오너라. 못된 짓을 하다가 쓰러졌지만,
Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to him: "Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.
3 모두 야훼께 돌아 와 이렇게 빌어라. "비록 못된 짓을 하였지만, 용서하여 주십시오. 이 애원하는 소리를 들어 주십시오. 우리가 이 입술로 하나님을 찬양하겠습니다.
Assyria cannot save us; we will not mount war-horses. We will never again say 'Our gods' to what our own hands have made, for in you the fatherless find compassion."
4 아시리아가 어찌 우리를 구하겠습니까? 우리가 다시는 군마를 타지 아니하고 우리 손으로 만든 것 보고 우리 하나님이라 부르지 않겠습니다. 하나님 외에 누가 고아 같은 우리에게 어버이의 정을 배풀겠습니까?"
"I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them.
5 이스라엘은 나를 배신하였다가 병들었으나, 나는 그 병든 마음을 고쳐 주고 사랑하여 주리라. 이제 내 노여움이 다 풀렸다. I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily. Like a cedar of Lebanon he will send down his roots;
6 내가 이스라엘 위에 이슬처럼 내리면 이스라엘은 나리꽃처럼 피어나고 버드나무처럼 뿌리를 뻗으리라. his young shoots will grow. His splendor will be like an olive tree, his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon.
7 햇순이 새록새록 돋아 감람나무처럼 멋지고 레바논 숲처럼 향기로우리라.
Men will dwell again in his shade. He will flourish like the grain. He will blossom like a vine, and his fame will be like the wine from Lebanon.
8 이스라엘은 다시 내 그늘에서 살며 농사지어 곡식을 거두리라. 포도덩굴처럼 꽃이 피고 레바논의 포도주처럼 유명해지리라. O Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? I will answer him and care for him. I am like a green pine tree; your fruitfulness comes from me."
9 내가 기도를 들어 주고 돌보아 주는데, 에브라임이 다시 우상과 무엇 때문에 상관하랴. 나는 싱싱한 전나무와도 같고 너희가 따먹을 열매가 달린 과일나무와도 같다.
Who is wise? He will realize these things. Who is discerning? He will understand them. The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.
10 지혜가 있거든, 이 일을 깨달아라. 슬기가 있거든, 이 뜻을 알아라. 야훼께서 보여 주신 길은 곧은 길, 죄인은 그 길에서 걸려 넘어지지만 죄 없는 사람은 그 길을 따라 가리라.
The word of the LORD that came to Joel son of Pethue

시편 81:6-10, 13, 16
6 "내가 너희 등에서 짐을 벗겨 주었고 광주리를 내던지게 하였다.
He says, "I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket.
7 너희가 곤경에 빠져 부르짖을 때, 살려 주었고, 폭풍 속에 숨어 너희에게 대답하였으며 므리바 샘터에서 너희를 떠보기도 하였다. In your distress you called and I rescued you, I answered you out of a thundercloud; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah
8 백성들아, 내가 타이르는 말을 들어라. 이스라엘아, 정녕 나의 말을 들어라.
"Hear, O my people, and I will warn you--if you would but listen to me, O Israel!
9 '너희는 다른 신을 모시지 말라. 이교도의 신을 예배하지 말라.
You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not bow down to an alien god.
10 너희 하나님은 너희를 에집트에서 이끌어낸 나야훼다. 다만 입을 크게 벌려라, 내가 채워 주리라.' I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.
11 그러나 내 백성은 나의 말을 듣지 않았고 이스라엘은 나의 뜻을 따르지 아니하였다.
"But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.
12 그러므로 나는 그들의 마음을 굳은 대로 버려 두어 저 하고 싶은 대로하게 하였다.
So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.
13 아, 나의 백성아, 제발 내 말을 들어다오. 이스라엘아, 나의 뜻을 따라 걸어다오.
"If my people would but listen to me, if Israel would follow my ways,
(14 나 당장 너희 원수들을 쳐부수리라. 나 당장 너희 압제자들에게 손을 대리라.
15 야훼의 원수들이 너희 앞에서 아첨할 것이나 그들의 운명은 돌이킬 수 없이 계속되리라.)
16 그러나 이 백성은 내가 기름진 밀가루로 먹이고 바위에서 따낸 꿀로 배불리리라."
But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you."

마르코복음 12:28-34
28 율법학자 한 사람이 와서 그들이 토론하는 것을 듣고 있다가 예수께서 대답을 잘 하시는 것을 보고 "모든 계명 중에 어느 것이 첫째가는 계명입니까?" 하고 물었다.
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
29 예수께서는 이렇게 대답하셨다. "첫째가는 계명은 이것이다. '이스라엘아 들으라, 우리 하나님은 유일한 주님이시다. "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
30 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 생각을 다하고 힘을 다하여 주님이신 너의 하나님을 사랑하라.'
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
31 또 둘째가는 계명은 '네 이웃을 네 몸같이 사랑하라'는 것이다. 이 두 계명보다 더 큰 계명은 없다."
The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
32 이 말씀을 듣고 율법학자는 "그렇습니다. 선생님, '하나님은 한 분이시며 그밖에 다른 이가 없다' 하신 말씀은 과연 옳습니다. "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.
33 또 '마음을 다하고 지혜를 다하고 힘을 다하여 하나님을 사랑하는 것' 과 '이웃을 제 몸같이 사랑하는 것' 이 모든 번제물과 희생제물을 바치는 것보다 훨씬 더 낫습니다" 하고 대답하였다.
To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
34 예수께서는 그가 슬기롭게 대답하는 것을 보시고 "너는 하나님 나라에 가까이 와 있다" 하고 말씀하셨다. 그런 일이 있은 뒤에는 감히 예수께 질문하는 사람이 없었다.
When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.
