민수기 6:22-27
22 야훼께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
The LORD said to Moses,
23  "너는 아론과 그의 아들들에게 이르기를, 이스라엘 백성에게 이런 말로 복을 빌어주라고 하여라.
"Tell Aaron and his sons, 'This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
24 '야훼께서 너희에게 복을 내리시며 너희를 지켜 주시고,
"' "The LORD bless you and keep you;
25 야훼께서 웃으시며 너희를 귀엽게 보아주시고,
the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 야훼께서 너희를 고이 보시어 평화를 주시기를 빈다.'
the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." '
27 그들이 이렇게 이스라엘 백성에게 내 이름으로 복을 빌어주면 내가 이 백성에게 복을 내리리라."
"So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."

시편 8
1 야훼, 우리의 주여! 주의 이름 온 세상에 어찌 이리 크십니까! 주의 영광 기리는 노래 하늘 높이 퍼집니다. For the director of music. According to gittith. A psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
2 어린이, 젖먹이들이 노래합니다. 이로써 원수들과 반역자들을 꺽으시고 당신께 맞서는 자들을 무색케 하셨습니다. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 당신의 작품, 손수 만드신 저 하늘과 달아 놓으신 달과 별들을 우러러 보면 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 사람이 무엇이기에 이토록 생각해 주시며 사람이 무엇이기에 이토록 보살펴 주십니까?
what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
5 그를 하나님 다음가는 자리에 앉히시고 존귀와 영광의 관을 씌워 주셨습니다.
You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 손수 만드신 만물을 다스리게 하시고 모든 것을 발 밑에 거느리게 하셨습니다.
You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
7 크고 작은 온갖 가축과 들에서 뛰노는 짐승들하며
all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,
8 공중의 새와 바다의 고기, 물길 따라 두루 다니는 물고기들을 통틀어 다스리게 하셨습니다.
the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 야훼, 우리의 주여! 주의 이름 온 세상에 어찌 이리 크십니까!
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

갈라디아서 4:4-7
4 그러나 때가 찼을 때 하나님께서 당신의 아들을 보내시어 여자의 몸에서 나게 하시고 율법의 지배를 받게 하시어
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law,
5 율법의 지배를 받고 사는 사람을 구원해 내시고 또 우리에게 당신의 자녀가 되는 자격을 얻게 하셨습니다.
to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.
6 이제 여러분은 하나님의 자녀가 되었으므로 하나님께서는 여러분의 마음 속에 당신의 아들의 성령을 보내 주셨습니다. 그래서 여러분은 하나님을 "아빠, 아버지" 라고 부를 수 있게 되었습니다.
Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba , Father."
7 그러므로 여러분은 이제 종이 아니라 자녀입니다. 자녀라면 하나님께서 세워 주신 상속자인 것입니다.
So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

루가복음 2:15-21
15 천사들이 목자들을 떠나 하늘로 돌아 간 뒤에 목자들은 서로 "어서 베들레헴으로 가서 주님께서 우리에게 알려 주신 그 사실을 보자" 하면서
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
16 곧 달려 가 보았더니 마리아와 요셉이 있었고 과연 그 아기는 구유에 누워 있었다.
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.
17 아기를 본 목자들이 사람들에게 아기에 관하여 들은 말을 이야기하였더니  When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,
18 목자들의 말을 들은 사람들은 모두 그 일을 신기하게 생각하였다.
and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
19 마리아는 이 모든 일을 마음 속 깊이 새겨 오래 간직하였다.
But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
20 목자들은 자기들이 듣고 보고 한 것이 천사들에게 들은 바와 같았기 때문에 하나님의 영광을 찬양하며 돌아갔다.  The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
21 여드레째 되는 날은 아기에게 할례를 베푸는 날이었다. 그 날이 되자 아기가 잉태되기 전에 천사가 일러 준 대로 그 이름을 예수라고 하였다. On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived.

1요한 2:29-3:6
29 여러분은 그분이 의로운 분이시라는 것을 알고 있습니다. 그리고 옳은 일을 하는 사람은 다 하나님께로부터 난 사람들이라는 것을 알아야 합니다. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.
3장 1 아버지께서 우리에게 베푸신 사랑이 얼마나 큰지 생각해 보십시오. 하나님의 그 큰사랑으로 우리는 하나님의 자녀라고 불리게 되었습니다. 우리는 과연 하나님의 자녀입니다. 세상 사람들이 우리를 알지 못하는 것은 그들이 하나님을 알지 못하기 때문입니다.
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
2 사랑하는 여러분, 이제 우리는 하나님의 자녀입니다. 우리가 장차 어떻게 될지는 분명하지 않지만 그리스도께서 나타나시면 우리도 그리스도와 같은 사람이 되리라는 것을 우리는 알고 있습니다. 그때는 우리가 그리스도의 참 모습을 뵙겠기 때문입니다.
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
3 그리스도께 대하여 이런 희망을 가진 사람은 누구나 그리스도께서 순결하신 것처럼 자기 자신을 순결하게 합니다.
Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
4 죄를 짓는 자는 누구나 하나님의 법을 어기는 자입니다. 법을 어기는 것이 곧 죄입니다.
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
5 여러분도 아시다시피 그리스도께서는 죄를 없애시려고 이 세상에 나타나셨던 것입니다. 그리스도는 죄가 없는 분이십니다.
But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
6 언제나 그리스도와 함께 사는 사람은 죄를 짓지 않습니다. 언제나 죄를 짓는 사람은 그리스도를 보지도 못한 사람이고 알지도 못하는 사람입니다. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

시편 98:2-7
2 야훼께서 그 거두신 승리를 알려 주시고 당신의 정의를 만백성 앞에 드러내셨다.
The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3 이스라엘 가문에 베푸신다던 그 사랑과 그 진실을 잊지 않으셨으므로 땅 끝까지 모든 사람이 우리 하나님의 승리를 보게 되었다.
He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 온 세상아, 야훼께 환성을 올려라. 기뻐하며 목청껏 노래하여라.
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;
5 거문고를 뜯으며 야훼께 노래 불러라. 수금과 많은 악기 타며 찬양하여라.
make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 우리의 임금님, 야훼 앞에서 은나팔 뿔나팔 불어대며 환호하여라.
with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn--shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
7 바다도, 그 속에 가득한 것들도, 땅도, 그 위에 사는 것들도 모두 환성을 올려라.
Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.

요한복음 1:29-34
29 다음 날 요한은 예수께서 자기한테 오시는 것을 보고 이렇게 말하였다. "이 세상의 죄를 없애시는 하나님의 어린양이 저기 오신다. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
30 내가 전에 내 뒤에 오시는 분이 한 분 계신데 그분은 사실은 내가 태어나기 전부터 계셨기 때문에 나보다 앞서신 분이라고 말한 것은 바로 이분을 두고 한 말이었다. This is the one I meant when I said, 'A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.'
31 나도 이분이 누구신지 몰랐다. 그러나 내가 와서 물로 세례를 베푼 것은 이분을 이스라엘에게 알리려는 것이었다." I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel."
32 요한은 또 증언하였다. "나는 성령이 하늘에서 비둘기 모양으로 내려 와 이분 위에 머무르는 것을 보았다. Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.
33 나는 이분이 누구신지 몰랐다. 그러나 물로 세례를 베풀라고 나를 보내신 분이 '성령이 내려 와서 어떤 사람 위에 머무르는 것을 보거든 그가 바로 성령으로 세례를 베푸실 분인 줄 알라' 고 말씀해 주셨다.
I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.'
34 과연 나는 그 광경을 보았다. 그래서 나는 지금 이분이 하나님의 아드님이시라고 증언하는 것이다.    
" I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God."


+ 사랑하는 여러분, 이제 우리는 하나님의 자녀입니다. 우리가 장차 어떻게 될지는 분명하지 않지만 그리스도께서 나타나시면 우리도 그리스도와 같은 사람이 되리라는 것을 우리는 알고 있습니다. 그때는 우리가 그리스도의 참 모습을 뵙겠기 때문입니다. 요한일서 3장 2절

우리는 모두 하느님의 자녀입니다. 자녀다운 삶을 통하여 이 세상의 죄를 없애시는 하느님의 어린양, 그 이름 예수를 친히 만나고 교제하는 축복된 한 해 되시기를, 그리고 그 이름을 증거하고 주님께 영광돌리는 2005년이 되시기를 기도합니다.
