히브리서 1:1-6
1 하나님께서 예전에는 예언자들을 시켜 여러 번 여러 가지 모양으로 우리 조상들에게 말씀하셨습니다. In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
2 그러나 이 마지막 시대에 와서는 당신의 아들을 시켜 우리에게 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 당신의 아들을 통해서 온 세상을 창조하셨으며 그 아들에게 만물을 물려주시기로 하셨습니다.
but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
3 그 아들은 하나님의 영광을 드러내는 찬란한 빛이시요, 하나님의 본질을 그대로 간직하신 분이시며 그의 능력의 말씀으로 만물을 보존하시는 분이십니다. 그분은 인간의 죄를 깨끗하게 씻어 주셨고 지극히 높은 곳에 계신 전능하신 분의 오른편에 앉아 계십니다.
The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
4 그리고 천사의 칭호보다 더 높은 아들이라는 칭호를 받으심으로써 천사들보다 더 높은 분이 되셨습니다.
So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
5 하나님께서 어느 천사에게 "너는 내 아들이다. 내가 오늘 너를 낳았다" 하고 말씀하신 적이 있으십니까? 또, For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"?
6 하나님께서 당신의 맏아들을 세상에 보내실 때에는, "하나님의 천사들은 모두 그에게 예배를 드려라" 하고 말씀하셨습니다.
And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him."

시편 97:1-2, 6-10
1 야훼께서 왕위에 오르셨다. 온 땅은 춤을 추어라. 많은 섬들아 즐거워하여라.
The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.
2 안개에, 구름에 둘러싸이고 정의와 공정이 그 옥좌의 바탕이요
Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
6 하늘이 그의 공정하심을 선포하고 만백성은 그의 영광을 뵙는다.
The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.
7 잡신들을 섬기는 자들아, 허수아비를 자랑하는 자들아 창피를 당하여라. 모든 신들아 그 앞에 엎드려라.
All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols--worship him, all you gods!
8 야훼여, 당신의 재판은 공정하시오니 시온이 이를 듣고 즐거워하며 유다의 딸들도 기뻐하옵니다.
Zion hears and rejoices and the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments, O LORD.
9 야훼여, 당신은 온 세상에 으뜸이시오니 그 많은 모든 신들 훨씬 위에 계시옵니다.
For you, O LORD, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.
10 악을 미워하는 자를 야훼께서 사랑하시고 당신을 믿는 자의 목숨을 지켜 주시어 악인들의 손에서 건져 주신다. Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

마르코 복음 1:14-20
14 요한이 잡힌 뒤에 예수께서 갈릴래아에 오셔서 하나님의 복음을 전파하시며
After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God.
15 "때가 다 되어 하나님의 나라가 다가 왔다. 회개하고 이 복음을 믿어라" 하셨다.
"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"
16 예수께서 갈릴래아 호숫가를 지나가시다가 호수에서 그물을 던지고 있는 어부 시몬과 그의 동생 안드레아를 보시고
As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
17 "나를 따라 오라. 내가 너희를 사람 낚는 어부가 되게 하겠다" 하고 말씀하셨다.
"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."
18 그들은 곧 그물을 버리고 예수를 따라 갔다.
At once they left their nets and followed him.
19 예수께서 조금 더 가시다가 제베대오의 아들 야고보와 그의 동생요한이 배에서 그물을 손질하고 있는 것을 보시고 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets.
20 부르시자 그들은 아버지 제베대오와 삯꾼들을 배에 남겨 둔 채 예수를 따라 나섰다.
Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
