사도행전 15:22-31
22 그래서 사도들과 원로들은 교회의 모든 신도들과 의논하여 대표들을 뽑아 바울로와 바르나바와 함께 안티오키아로 보내기로 작정하였다. 거기에서 뽑힌 사람들은 교우들 가운데서 지도적인 위치에 있던 바르사빠라는 유다와 실라였다.
Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, two men who were leaders among the brothers.
23 그들이 이 사람들 편에 부친 편지는 다음과 같다. "여러분과 한 형제가 된 우리 사도와 원로들은 안티오키아와 시리아와 길리기아에 있는 이방인 형제들에게 문안을 드립니다.
With them they sent the following letter: The apostles and elders, your brothers, To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia: Greetings.
24 우리 신도 중 몇몇이 여러분에게 가서 엉뚱한 말로 여러분을 괴롭히고 어리둥절하게 만들었다는 이야기를 들었는데 그것은 우리가 시킨 일이 아닙니다.
We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said.
25 그래서 우리는 대표 몇을 뽑아 사랑하는 바르나바와 바울로와 함께 여러분에게 보내기로 뜻을 모았습니다. So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul--
26 그런데 이 바르나바와 바울로는 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 위하여 목숨을 내어놓은 사람들입니다.
men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 이제 우리 대표로 가는 유다와 실라가 이 편지의 사연을 직접 말로도 전해드릴 것입니다마는
Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing.
28 다음 몇 가지 긴요한 사항 외에는 여러분에게 다른 짐을 더 지우지 않으려는 것이 성령과 우리의 결정입니다. It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements:
29 여러분은 우상에게 바쳤던 제물을 먹지말고 피나 목졸라 죽인 짐승도 먹지 마시오. 그리고 음란한 행동을 하지 마시오. 여러분이 이런 몇 가지만 삼가면 다 잘 될 것입니다. 안녕히 계십시오."
You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.
30 그들 일행은 길을 떠나 안티오키아로 내려가서 회중을 모아 놓고 그 편지를 전해 주었다.
The men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter.
31 회중은 그 편지를 읽고 격려를 받았으며 또한 기뻐하였다.
The people read it and were glad for its encouraging message.

시편 57:8-11
8 내 영혼아, 잠을 깨어라, 비파야 거문고야 잠을 깨어라, 잠든 새벽을 흔들어 깨우리라.
Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
9 주여, 내가 당신을 뭇 백성 가운데서 찬양하리이다. 뭇 나라 가운데서 당신께 노래하리이다.
I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 당신의 크신 사랑 하늘에까지 미치고 당신의 미쁘심은 구름에 닿았습니다.
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
11 하나님, 하늘 높이 나타나시어 당신 영광 땅 위에 떨치소서.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
요한복음 15:12-17
12 내가 너희를 사랑한 것처럼 너희도 서로 사랑하여라. 이것이 나의 계명이다.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
13 벗을 위하여 제 목숨을 바치는 것보다 더 큰 사랑은 없다.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
14 내가 명하는 것을 지키면 너희는 나의 벗이 된다.
You are my friends if you do what I command.
15 이제 나는 너희를 종이라고 부르지 않고 벗이라고 부르겠다. 종은 주인이 하는 일을 모른다. 그러나 나는 너희에게 내 아버지에게서 들은 것을 모두 다 알려 주었다.
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
16 너희가 나를 택한 것이 아니라 내가 너희를 택하여 내세운 것이다. 그러니 너희는 세상에 나가 언제까지나 썩지 않을 열매를 맺어라. 그러면 아버지께서는 너희가 내 이름으로 구하는 것을 다 들어 주실 것이다. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
17 서로 사랑하여라. 이것이 너희에게 주는 나의 계명이다."
This is my command: Love each other.
