Greetings!
I am going to Vietnam this Saturday (April 20) to leading a training for pastors April 22. Last Fall I taught at the same seminary. They expect me to come to Vietnam to teach them three times this year. This is the first one out of three. My teaching is about pioneering church planting. My goal of this training is to train church planters who are able to plant churches either in their cultural groups or in different cultural groups beyond Vietnam. Missionary work and local church ministry have the same goal to church plant. In the light of church planting, mission work and local church ministry should go together and support each other.
After the training, I will proceed to teach a group of the people whom Lucy is ministering. These people have been growing up spiritually by living as a community. It was such a joy to see how the Lord is raising and training them for Vietnam.
A New Missionary from Vietnam
I have appointed brother Nguyen as a missionary. He has been helping GT work in Vietnam since 2009. He also speaks the Korean language well. His vision is to raise the young leaders from Vietnam. He sees a big space between the current leadership and the young leadership in the Vietnamese churches. He wants to dedicate himself to raise the leadership and missionaries.
Nepal Trip
I am going fly to Nepal from Vietnam. The purpose of this trip is to coach the missionaries and Kingdom Venture ministry (Business as Mission). When Nepal churches is able to support themselves, they will be able to send missionaries to the countries in Asia where Nepali workers are. More than 20% Nepali are working outside Nepal as foreign workers. Global Teams Nepal is going to focus on Kingdom Venture in next couple years to accelerate Jesus movements in Nepal.
In addition to prayers for my ministry in Vietnam and Nepal, your prayers for South and North Korea will be appreciated. There is still such a tension between these two countries. I am going to transfer my flights in South Korea when I fly out to Vietnam and fly back to the United States.
