간구하는 기도에는
두 가지 믿음의 요소가 있다.
하나는 하나님의 이름이
거룩히 여김을 받지 못하고,
그의 나라가 임하지 못하며,
그의 뜻이 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다는 것이고,
다른 하나는 하나님께서는
이러한 상황을 바꾸실 수 있다는 것이다.

only flourishes where there is a twofold belief:
that God's name is hallowed too irregularly,
his kingdom has come too little,
and his will is done too infrequently;
second, that God himself can change this situation.
